Michael Manny is a producer play-by-play broadcaster, sports reporter, anchor and host. He currently works as a morning news producer and also contributes to sports coverage at WFXG FOX54 in Augusta, Georgia. While in Augusta, he's contributed to coverage of local, statewide and national stories such as Hurricane Helene, the 2024 election and more. He's a graduate of Northern Arizona University.
Michael was formerly the assistant sports director of KJACK Radio, NAU's FM-licensed radio station. in his role at the station, Michael helped manage the sports department's broadcast talent and produced an edition of "The Double Double," a live sports talk radio show. During his time with KJACK, he called Flagstaff and Coconino high school football, baseball, basketball and volleyball, plus IceJacks hockey.
Michael also worked as a sports anchor and reporter with NAZ Today, northern Arizona's only local newscast. While with NAZ, Michael found a passion and was fortunate to have been able to embed himself in the local sports community. He started with the newscast as a reporter before becoming a sports anchor in August 2021. With NAZ, Michael covered everything from high school sports and NAU Athletics to the NASCAR Cup Series, the 2022 Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and Super Bowl LVII.
In addition, Michael worked as a play-by-play broadcaster for KAFF Sports. He was the lead voice of their second broadcast team in their coverage of Flagstaff and Coconino High School sports on the NFHS Network. KAFF's NFHS Network coverage was a first-of-its-kind streaming offering for the northern Arizona region, something Michael had a hand in bringing to life.
During the 2022-23 college basketball season, Michael worked with NAU-TV as a courtside reporter and halftime host for their NAU men's and women's basketball coverage on ESPN+.
Michael's written work has appeared in the Arizona Daily Sun, PinalCentral and The Lumberjack newspapers. He also contributed to Elevated Media, an independent venture created by NAU sports journalism students. With Elevated, Michael covered multiple NASCAR races, including Championship Weekend at Phoenix Raceway twice, the first Busch Light Clash at the LA Coliseum and races at Auto Club Speedway In Fontana, California.
